The Little Bit of Difference

One day a guy in high school packs up his stuff in his locker, everything neat and orderly, then goes home. On his way home he gets stopped by bullies, who knock his stuff over. He doesn't say anything, just bends down and starts to pick his stuff up. All of a sudden some boy his age comes walking down the street and sees him. The boy bends down and helps him. The boy walked the other guy home and they exchange phone numbers. They become best friends.

2 years later the boy who got his stuff knocked over confesses that that day he was going home to commit suicide. He had been bullied his whole life without any friends and couldn't take it anymore. He didn't want his mom to have to clean up his stuff so he thought he would put it in a nice neat pile. The only reason why he didn't do it was because that one boy helped him that suicide began to fade from his mind.

This is just a very powerful story I heard. It's really cool that one person can make a difference so for those who think they can't do something cause it won't make a difference, remember this story.

I read something like this before...

This girl met this guy in her Spanish 101 class. No one liked him really. They started talking and all...

One night, they were talking on the phone. The girl could tell the guy had his hand over the mouth of the phone because she could hear muffled yelling. All of a sudden, the phone went dead. Tow hours later, the guy her back and told her about his dad going crazy and talking it out on him or something. He was talking about how he was going to kill himself. The girl freaked out and made him promise he would go directly to sleep and stayed up till I forget and made a list of things why he shouldn't kill himself.

She gave him the paper the next day and he read it and didn't speak to her. At the end of class, she went up to him and the guy gave her a big hug.

Soon, the guy moved away to live with someone else. His grandma I think. He called the girl one night and talked to her and told her how much happier he was.

And that was how he escaped suicide.
