The Child

The child is innocent
Just a victim of war
Faced with horror and fear.

The child is just content
Through the beatings and screams
The child’s smile does not fade.

The child is imprisoned
By the culture of home
Which keeps the child subdued.

The child is beyond lost
In the vast and dark world
Where no one cares at all.

The child is not bitter
The memories

I was just experimenting with a new style with this poem, please tell me what you think. As for
the spacing in the last stanza, I purposely did that, because, due to the spacing, you pay more
attention to that specfic part of the poem. At least, that's what my English teacher taught us.
Please tell me what you think, Thanks! Like a Star @ heaven
