The River

I was bored this morning so I wrote this drabble. It is a perfect drabble-exactly 100 words:

Starting atop a frozen mountain, the icy water poured fresh from a glacier into the ravenous gully. As the slushy water’s descent speed began to increase, it began to form a more liquid state. Finally, after traveling across tumbling boulders and across the ragged edges of many mountains, the former ice has now become crystal clear water, traveling ceaselessly across a wide sweep of meadowlands. Many animals now drink the sparkling water, for the gravity pulling it down the hill has now slowed it. After winding its way across the plains, it now reaches the ocean. Finally it ceases, defeated.
